THIS PAGE IS CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRCUTION General Luther P. Bradley was born in 1822 in New Haven, Connecticut. Siding with the Union after the outbreak of the Civil War, Bradley saw service in numerous battles including Stones River, Chickamauga, Spring Hill, and the Atlanta Campaign. Although wounded several times, Bradley was determined to serve his country. After the war, Bradley went West with his new wife, Louise, known as “Ione”. There he participated in the construction of several forts and was active in the Indian Wars, facing off against men like Red Cloud and Geronimo. He also served as an official Army representative at the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia in 1876. After retiring from military service in 1886, Luther Bradley and his wife moved to Tacoma, Washington. In 1910, at the age of 87, Luther Bradley passed away.
