"The Army Heritage Center Foundation is pleased to announce that Mr. Robert Russell of Carlisle, PA is the winner of the hand-carved Philadelphia style French and Indian War Commemorative Powder Horn. Mr. Russell's name was drawn at the Army Heritage Day conducted at the Army Heritage and Education Center on May 17, 2008."
"The powder horn was donated to the Foundation by Mr. Roland Cadle of Village Restorations & Consulting in Claysburg, PA. Mr. Cadle donated the powder horn to help fund programs on the Army Heritage Trial. Roland is the consummate craftsman. With over 30 years experience in period trades, he is a master hornsmith and the founder of the Honourable Company of Horners. He has made powder horns for such movies as the Last of the Mohicans and The Patriot."
