Description
This book is essentially a glossary, by regiment, of the most characteristic pieces (for example, helmets, gorgets, cartridge boxes, and epaulettes) worn by the officers of the land armies of Germany. Only the accoutrements of the officers are described; the enlisted mens’ versions are mentioned only to the degree that they vary from the officers’ version. The book does not cover the non-fighting units and civilian administrative or technical (military schools, military police, palace guards) personnel.
The book presents, by the use of hundreds of drawings in an easily identifiable format, the items most often researched by collectors of German Militaria.
