Since the founding of the Army in 1775, the United States has always relied on small teams of highly trained Soldiers to carry out missions of special importance during times of war and conflict. Today’s Special Forces, also known as the Green Berets, are part of the larger Special Operations Forces (SOF) community, and continue to play a unique role in our national defense.
This workshop for teachers will examine the history of Special Forces, how their role has evolved over time, and how they work with and are a part of the larger SOF community. Teachers can attend in person or via Zoom.
