Tilghman defied his loyalist father by passionately joining the patriot cause, however, their relationship remained close throughout their lives 6 (read their lively correspondence herein). Tilghman was by Washington’s side for seven years and was one of GW’s most trusted aides.

Blue cloth with silver titling. Tight square binding with clean interior. Small bump along lower edge of front cover. Dust jacket has mild corner and edge wear, including a one-inch closed tear along top edge of front panel. Presents handsomely in archival mylar.
